We work with an international financial and economic consultancy that supports public sector bodies, multilateral development banks, and the private sector. They advise on capital and revenue funded social infrastructure projects, project procurement support, help measuring economic impact investment appraisal and long-term strategic planning.
They have worked across UK local government since the company was formed in 1996. Increasingly in recent years it has worked with councils as they consolidate and co-locate services within their boundaries. This has provided invaluable insight into the issues surrounding travel times, transport and sustainable communities. We have worked with rural councils on their school travel times, on generating new ways of staff working reducing travel times and utilising technology and on consultations where services would be delivered in larger modern central hub.
Other work includes supporting local authority procurement of a long term roads maintenance partner and we are currently supporting a local Authority in their City Deal bid to complete an A-road extension, providing analysis to support the economic projections the project will deliver. This includes enabling effects on Gross Value Added at local, regional and national level as well as jobs and social impacts and inclusive growth.
